LDA to Reconstruct & Beautify Six Corridors of City
Lahore Development Authority (LDA) is transforming Lahore into a modern mega city and continuously working for infrastructure development within metropolis. The planning and development wing of LDA is continuously improving infrastructure of city as per latest standards and needs. In the recent past, city has gone through tremendous development works whereas renovation and remodeling continues at different parts by the time. Now LDA wants to carry out reconstruction and beautification at six corridors of the city and has requested for proposals via newspaper from engineering firms to join their hands in these developments.
Remodeling & Reconstruction of Roads
To facilitate locals with wider road network, LDA intends to reconstruct the following roads.
- Shahkam Chowk, Defense Road, Lahore
- Jora Pull Allama Iqbal Town near Islamia College of Commerce
- Walton Road between Packages Limited and Walton Flyover, Ferozpur Road
Face Lifting & Beautification of Corridors
LDA has invited applications/proposals for face lifting of the following corridors and structures with aesthetical point of view. It will include decoration and artistic painting work.
- Canal Road from Thokar Niaz Baig to Harbanspura
- Lahore Metro Bus Corridor from Gajjumatta to Civil Secretariat
- Lahore Metro Bus Corridor from Civil Secretariat to Shahdara
Last Date for Submission of Proposals
The engineering/outdoor development or décor firms have been directed to submit proposals to Chief Engineer, LDA Office till 11:00 AM, 19th February 2018. The proposals will be opened on same day at 11:30 AM. Any detail or guidance regarding submission of proposals can be taken from the aforementioned office.
However, it is pertinent to mention that the selected firms will have to complete these assignments free of cost under supervision of authority. LDA will provide design for construction and supervise both projects. The selected firms will be honored by LDA in shape of awards, logo displays and acknowledgement for the given task.
The above mentioned routes and corridors are one of the most visited arteries of the city. The proposed facelift and overhaul will not only benefit residents but enhance overall image of city.
