Lahore Ring Road Authorities Started Demolishing Properties In Bahria Town Lahore for Souther Loop Phase 3

After being relentlessly discussed in the real estate news, the Ring Road Authority has started working on Southern Loop 3 with the demolition of buildings in Bahria Town Lahore. The work has been started from today 09 of October 2018, the authority has sent its team to start flattening houses and commercial plazas.

Background of the Project

Lahore Ring Road has already completed SL-1 and SL-2, it was opened for traffic on 22nd December. Now construction of SL-3 is kicked off with the destruction of structures that already built in the route of this section. Bahria Town Lahore has paid the amount to the affectees of Buildings, Houses and Plots, but the work at this portion was halted due to some legalities among the Bahria Town Management and Ring Road Authorities. Here it is important to state that the Construction contract of SL-3 development has been awarded to ZKB Reliable.

Route of SL3

The SL-3 starts from Adda Plot (Raiwind Road) and ends at Multan Road near NFC Phase 2 Lahore. The route of this eminent project is Bahria Town Lahore. It is passing through the Tulip Block Extension and Rafi Block near the Grand Jamia Mosque to the main Multan Road. The total distance of this SL3 is approximately 8 Km and the bid has been finalized in PKR 7.9 billion for this project. According to the official sources, it will have two interchanges, three underpasses, three bridges and 14 drain ducts.

As SL3 is passing through the Bahria Town’s prominent Golf View Residencia, so the management has already renewed the map for this sector to start the development accordingly. The plot owners whose property was affected due to the SL-III was given replacements within the same project.

After the completion of this project, the residents of Bahria Town will have great perks. They will have an easy access to the Airport, DHA and other areas far across the city.  At this time, Lahore Ring Road SL-2 is accessible for Bahria Town Lahore through Adda plot interchange, but once the project of SL3 is completed NFC Interchange will be at the next door.
